Welcome to Itaewon. Itaewon has been the place where foreigners come a lot. As, Yongsan American unit is very close to Itaewon, Itaewon was firstly crowded with American. But later soon, it became the #1 foreigners’ gathering place. Lot’s of shops and bars are targeted to foreigners. And actually lot’s of shops are runned by celebrities
It’s very hard thing to find evening dress for woman on the street. But here you can get them easily. Some of them are hanged on outside. And also those are very cheap. The reason hard to find them is that Korean people don’t throw up late night party. Most of them think party as expensive and hard to prepare. It’s somewhat different from America.
I only stayed here for only an hour so. I couldn’t check out them all. From tradional American holiday foods to Mexican foods, you can enjoy foods that are like your mom’s. If the time permitted, I wish I could come here again to eat hot Mexican foods. I love Mexcan and especially foods with chilies . I love beans and pepper. And Torttila the most.
It’s very hard thing to find big sized clothes in Seoul. But here you can have every clothes in big size. And also they are cheap.
Itaewon station is on line no.6. Enjoy visiting.
It could be lonely if you come to Seoul alone, and can’t speak the Korean language. But don’t worry. Just turn on the radio and tune it up to 101.3. This is a channel for foreigners who have just encountered Korea and who need to know information about Korea. I usually listen to 101.3 as it is fun and it helps me study listening part of English. Actually it helped me a lot. DJs are fun and you would find youself laughing in no time. Starting from early morning to late midnight. DJs are always on the staion and ready to hear your massages. If you have lot’sof things to tell people through the radio, you are very welcomed. The DJ, will send massages of yours to people who share similar backgrounds that you have.
If you want to request music that you want to hear or send massages, you can use both cell phone and internet massage board. If you have neither, then you can just telephone their numbers. Anyway I hope foreigners who visited Korea first do well living by listening to this radio. TBS has lot’s of programs, from daily news to celebrity interviews, full of programs are waiting you. when just sitting on the table or in the car, turn on the radio and tune it up to 101.3 . They always will be ready to give you the best music and the best adivice. I like M- town and Music planet the best. They always have special guests and programs.
Hi I’m Joon today’s topic is about riding subways in Seoul. Seoul has more than 10 lines of subway systems. Though Seoul has many subways and run subways day and night, No small crushing accident have happend. What amazes me more is that 12 lines are managed by only 4 independent company. Those 4 companies are operated by Government as Subway is a public property. I ride subways and transfer trains almost everyday as my school is too far away. I love riding subways as I can see many people inside the train and sometimes I meet foreigners who need help. Every times I met foreigners I helped them so that they could find their ways and get to their destinations. Okay What I’m going tell you are summarized by 3 categories.
First, it’s how to ride Seoul Subway. I think Korean subway is very convenient and easy compared to other countries, and there’s no complex steps or obstacles that keeps you from reaching destinations. But if you don’t know how to use T money and way to transfer, it may become a real trouble.
I’ll show you how to get in the subway and to buy the card and to get in the subway. I have seen many travelers rumbling around as they are having trouble to getting in subway. I thought they were very poor. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the picture of things so I drew it by myself . This way I can explain the thing much easily.
I know it’s hard to believe , but it’s the gate of Samseong station line #2. So go inside the gate.
Okay before going to next step, you should have T.money or instant pass. There a bending machine which sells Varieties of designed T money and charges your card. If you don’t have T = money don’t worry you can have instant card . Go in front of bending machine and choose your language. If it’s done choose the last station you want to go. then the machine says how much money it needs from you. insult your money, then in no seconds the card will come out. But remember that the card is only used for one time as it’s not permanent. You can’t charge it you should return it to returning machine. If you hate instant one then you can but T-money at any convenient store. so should you got t-money then you should get through the bar. The bars are separated to two one with green pointing and the other one with red ban. As you see in the picture you can’t go through banned one. It’s exit for comers. You should find green pointing one . Then put your T-money one the machine. If it’s succeeded the screen will say your left money in T-money.
This post is about “Korean students’ too busy schedule”. Not like students in other countries, many of Korean student go to institutes after school where employed instructors not school teachers teach things related to school subjects. As the institutes finish the lectures late at night . Students have to go home late around 9pm.
Those are students going home late. It could be a strange scenery to foreigners outside Korea, as student wear school uniforms and roam around the street at night. But it’s a normal life to students in Seoul and I am one of them too. School finishes at around 5 o ‘clock and I straightly go to institute. Sometimes I have to skip dinner , and feeling always starving during the lecture hour.
This is a bus station near the subway Daechi station which is line #3. Daechi station is the place where lots of famous institutes are located. And sure is that lots of students come here from other region to learn best lectures in Seoul. I’m one of those students as I live near Yangjae Station which is 4 stations from Daechi station. Regions near Daechi are also famous for inexpensive residential places. maybe the most expensive as the educational system there is the best
Oh, but I think Daechi is not that harsh place. Lots of famous and great restaurants and coffee shops are here and I love to go there whenever the break time allows. This place is yaang. I found this place is very romantic and antique. I love cafe latte the most as I can have many syrups as possible.
Oh this is the street I go through almost every day. I sometimes to to Krispy Kream to finish up my left over home work.. If you find me studying here, I promise I will buy you a donut.
I’m not sure whether education outside of school provides, is a good thing or bad thing. But it’s true that magnificent money has been put into institutes, and sometimes it becomes a burden to parents. Institute is not the thing guarantees good grades. It’s the students who do the exams and check the OMR sheets.
